During the Cebu Blog Camp 2011 (I’ll blog about it some other time :D) I won a Mozilla Firefox shirt for answering when the next Cebu Blog Camp was, since Mozilla Firefox was one of the sponsors of the event.
I was so excited about the shirt that when I got home, I immediately tried it on. To my dismay, it was too big. Way way waaaay too big! I found out the size of the top was 2XL.

My mom said to give it to my father, BUT HELL NO! My first Mozilla Firefox shirt, which was free and is made by American Apparel, and I give it to my father? Oh no man.
So I decided to improvise.
I got my mom’s sheers and I SNIP, SNIP, SNIP.
And Oh Lala! It now fits and is in style!

If you want to do something similar to this, here are my Tips:
1. Don’t be afraid.
You would never learn unless you try it!
2. Think before you cut!
You have to decide what style you want your top-to-be is. Don’t just cut in a rush.
3. To be sure, use a tailor’s chalk to draw.
Draw in the style to guide you while you cut. Tailor’s chalk is better to use because it just washes off.
4. Its okay if it isn’t cut straight!
Nobody will notice with the cuts on your top isn’t straight. And besides, if the cloth of your top is cotton, it kinda twirls on where you cut them. (I’m not sure if I said that right, if you get me BRAVO!)
5. HAVE FUN!
Its not everyday you get to act like you know what your doing and feel as if your a designer. ;)
